Hope in Darkness

If you are despairing, lonely, without hope, be comforted.  'A broken and contrite heart I will not despise'. Jesus came not to condemn but to HEAL.  BUT HE CANNOT HEAL WHAT WE DENY.

Are you a Christian who feels alone, disappointed, without purpose?  Be comforted that you are in and with Jesus Christ.  He was tempted to despair, but never gave in to sin and separation from God.  KNOW that NOTHING can separate you from the love of God.  LISTEN in your heart - meditate on the words of Habukuk  (3: 17-19) and TRUST in God alone.  You have a calling to STAND and yet STAND.  He will never ask more of you than HE will give you strength for.

Truly God will not leave you alone without some comfort .   But He will not give necessarily what you would expect the world to give you. He knows what is best for YOU and He wants to heal you from all pride and self protection, and to heal the hidden hurts that cause you to condemn yourself or others.  And He knows the way to do it!!

He provides for our needs not necessarily our wants.  So start with today - right now.  What are your needs?  What can you be grateful for?   Talk to God. Tell Him.

'Nothing is impossible for God.'  There is NOTHING He cannot do for those who love Him, trust Him and pray.

'If My people will HUMBLE themselves and begin to pray, I will heal their land'.

Dear Heavenly Father, we believe, help Thou our unbelief.

We have strayed from Your ways; we have tried to do things in our own strength.  We have tried to protect ourselves.   Have mercy on us.

Let us with the psalmist cry out,  'Why be so downcast oh my soul, Yet I will trust in the Lord.'

Have mercy on us Lord Jesus, we need Your blessing, encouragement and love to persevere in love and righteousness today.

In Jesus Name, Amen

'Be still and know that I am God.  ...Those who wait on the Lord will rise as on the wings of eagles.'

'Poetry and prose
Share repose
In a heart set apart
For a greater good.

So let the Word flow
Where e'er it will go,
To the greater glory
Of Christ the King.'
