About the Site

Are you without joy? Without hope for a future? Unsure of your purpose? Without confidence that you are loved?  And caught up in substitute activities to try and find life and cover up your pain?

I was in this situation thirty years ago.  I could see no way forward and knew I had no vision of hope - despite my high-level work and loving partner.   I did not know God's love for me.  I knew I had to love others - but I had reached the end of my strength. - I was empty within.

Then one day some of my Polytechnic teacher-training students started to tell me about Jesus Christ.  My immediate reaction was to shut this off - then the thought occurred to me, 'If I listen to other things, why don't I listen to this?'......and deep within me I sensed something happen in my heart!  My heart had opened to the Word.

That was the beginning of God 'speaking' to me in my time of despair and exhaustion.  The students were given a prophecy for me as they started to pray for me...... and even to this day that prophecy is being lived out as He continues to lead me on the journey to Wholeness and Self-control in His Love - through enabling me to face the darkness and sadness and despair of my early life, and the suffering in this world, while reaching for the glory and wonder of His Kingdom.  He promises He will not let these trials of sadness, anger or bitterness overwhelm us- and promises that I and all who follow this path will be His witnesses.

So this site is about an on-going journey to wholeness and peace and overcoming in Christ - knowing that nothing can separate you or me from the love of God, and whatever difficulty you need to face you are not alone without help.  We walk with Christ for God's purposes.

Dearest Seeker, if you have an open heart, even though a broken, despairing heart, that seeks hope, here you will find some comfort, and in Christ all the courage and strength you need for each step in a life grounded in Love.
